SDG Quality Education: Goal 4

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all
SDG 4 seeks to ensure access to equitable and quality education through all stages of life, as well as to increase the number of young people and adults having relevant skills for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. The goal also envisages the elimination of gender and income disparities in access to education.
Indicators
Early leavers from education and training rate by sex
GOAL
By 2030, the share of early leavers from education and training should be less than 9%
Population with tertiary education (ISCED 5-8) por sexo (%)
GOAL
By 2030, the share of 25–34-year-olds with tertiary educational attainment should be of at least 45%
Participation in early childhood education
GOAL
By 2030, at least 96% of children between 3 years old and the age for starting compulsory primary education should participate in early childhood education
Underachievement in reading, maths or science
GOAL
By 2030, the share of low-achieving 15-year-olds in reading, mathematics and science should be less than 15%
Adult participation in learning
GOAL
Share of individuals having at least basic digital skills by sex (%)
GOAL
By 2030, at least 80% of those aged 16 to 74 should have basic digital skills
